01 / එය ආරම්භ වූයේ ඇයි

කනස්සල්ලක් නමක් බවට පත් විය. එම නාමය එම ගැටලුව වඩාත් පුළුල් කළේය.

දඩුරු නය ආරම්භ වූයේ තරගාවලියකින් නොවේ. එය ආරම්භ වූයේ දැදුරු ඔයේ සිටින මහ කනයා (Giant Snakehead) පිළිබඳව ඇති වූ කනස්සල්ලක් හේතුවෙනි. පළමු පියවර වූයේ එම කනස්සල්ල දෘශ්‍යමාන කිරීමයි. දෙවැන්න එයට මිනිසුන්ට මතක තබා ගත හැකි අනන්‍යතාවක් ලබා දීමයි.

01THE CONCERN

කනස්සල්ල දැනටමත් පැවතිණි. නොතිබුණේ පුළුල් සංවාදයක් ය.

දැදුරු ඔය ආශ්‍රිතව සිටින තලගොයින් සම්බන්ධයෙන් ධීවරයින් සහ ධීවර බලධාරීන් දැනටමත් කනස්සල්ල පළ කර තිබුණි. දැදුරු නයා එම ගැටලුව නිර්මාණය කළේ නැත. දැනුවත්භාවය, ඉලක්කගත ඉවත් කිරීම් සහ ප්‍රජා සහභාගීත්වය තුළින් පවතින ගැටලුව මහජනතාවගේ අවධානයට යොමු කිරීමට ඔවුන් කටයුතු කළේය.

දඳුරු නයාට හඳුනාගත හැකි අනන්‍යතාවක් ලැබුණු පසු ඊළඟ අභියෝගය වූයේ ප්‍රායෝගික එකකි: ගැටලුව පැහැදිලි කිරීම, සහභාගීත්වය පැහැදිලි කිරීම, කුඩා ප්‍රශ්නවලට පිළිතුරු දීම සහ දවස දිනාගත් පුද්ගලයන් හා ආයතන සම්බන්ධීකරණය කිරීම ය.

THE RECORD AFTER THE DAY

The day ended. The issue stayed visible

Daduru Naya was never presented as a one-day solution. The purpose was to bring an existing fisheries concern into public view strongly enough that people would notice it, engage with it and keep the conversation moving

WHAT CONTINUED

Attention outlived the event

After 20 September, anglers kept returning to Deduru Oya. Catches continued to be photographed, filmed and shared. Fishing content around the area became easier to find, and activity around tackle, angling and the local value of the catch continued to develop

That continuing activity belongs to the anglers, creators, businesses and communities building it. What Daduru Naya can say more simply is this: the issue did not disappear when the tournament banners came down

A CAREFUL DISTINCTION

One event cannot claim every development that followed. This section records sustained attention around the fishery, not ownership of everything that came after it

Anglers kept returning

The water continued drawing anglers after the tournament date, keeping the species and the fishery in public view.

Catches kept circulating

Photos, videos and fishing content continued to put real catches in front of new audiences.

Activity kept developing

Around the fishery, tackle activity, content and ways for anglers to connect their catch with local value continued taking shape.

That is the measure this project can stand behind: not a claim of eradication, but a concern that became visible enough to keep being seen, discussed and acted around
